I agree BUT we applied only two weeks before the new rules 4/6 were in effect! which means that knowing the application was lost after one month or 7 months doesn`t really change anything cuz we will not be able to re apply directly!

there are no determined rules ... my wife applied for citizenship back in May and till now we didn't even receive AOR!!! when we called CIC they said call us back after passing one year from applying!!!!

a question though ... the invite did not mention any guests ... should I assume guests are welcome to the ceremony or better to call for confirmation?

I was told by the CO that November is fully booked and should not except any oath invite ... perhaps December or even January ...

FINALLY :D the wait is over.... I received the OATH invitation letter today for November 28 :D ECAS is not updated yet but it doesn't matter.... I would like to thank everyone on this forum for the valuable informal and guidance I received...

I passed the citizenship test earlier today (18/20) :) the CO interviewed me and at the end informed me that I should expect the oath any time between a month and three months ... she also said that November is fully booked, so could be scheduled for December or January, fingers crossed :D FYI...

I do, information not identified. I believe this is because AOR was not sent and information is not in the system yet!

I sent the application by Canada Xpress. I have the delivery note with the signature on it. I check email (Inbox and Junk) regularly, no AOR received! is it normal nowadays to take more than 5 months for the AOR to be sent out?

Hi, I submitted my wife's application for Canadian citizenship back in May and till now we haven't even received the AOR!! we called CIC more than once and they refused to provide further information about her file unless it passes one year on the application submission!! I requested ATIP...

I did ask for the passport to be returned, will send it back again after the test day :)

I don't think any one in Ontario would sign it! this is claiming that Ontario applicants have more processing privilege than western provinces applicants!!

my wife attended and English language training program at Newcomer Centre of Peel and then continued for a childcare program at the same centre .. is that considered as an education that should be listed under 6F? there are no transcripts or report cards, only attendance confirmation letter ..
