Should I tell them that I have my relatives there in Canada when asked? Will it affect my application negatively? I have my brother, mother and grandmother in my family. My mother is a Govt. employee. How can I justify my family ties in India that they will compel me to return?

You are being misguided here. GRE does n't really count. You can get admission in windsor, uoit and ottawa. However, chances are somewhat less for calgary and unb.
