I have to travel to US & India for work and will be returning to Canada at the end of the year. I am a PR in Canada. My Indian passport expires in April 2016. Do I need 6 months (Indian) passport validity to come back to Canada at the end of December? Thanks
My ecas showed IP on 12 January, Got PPR on Feb 3, and decision made on Feb 5. So there is no sequence. All you guys just be patient, you will get it soon.
Any one has any idea about request for extension of the 30 days PPR to 60 days?
O-PNP applicant; Application received: 14 Feb 2014; AOR = 13 March 2014.
Received passport request yesterday.
Wife is currently outside Canada and travelling to 2 different countries for 1 month, so she needs her passport. Should I email CIC and ask for an extension of 60 days? Do you know...
Do they send PPR by email or postal mail? So far, I have received all correspondence through email. My CIC application contains my old residential address...
Delgado77 = Yes, I have lived in 2 different countries for 8 years in total before I moved to Canada. But, since original police clearance certificates for those countries are already provided, why should it take so much time?
Hey Diaboluce,
Thanks. What kind of criminality check takes 8 months to complete!! And then eligibility and security after that is pending. BTW, my GCMS notes show status = in progress (since 1st August 2014).
I was thinking we will get ppr this month, hence postponed my India trip. Now, I am...
O-PNP applicant, Application received = Feb 13; AOR = March 13. Medicals done; RPRF paid. E-cas = 'application received'
This is what I got on my GCMS notes today:
Eligibility = not started; Security = not started; Criminality = in progress; Medicals = passed-expired.
So, I am hoping by next...
I am O-PNP applicant (AOR = March 13), did medicals and paid permanent residency processing fee (PRPF) in March. My lawyer suggested payment of PRPF is towards the last step, but my ecas says 'application received'; thats it!
Mehul = are you O-PNP applicant? Our dates are almost the same, except my ecas shows 'application received' since April 2014. No change!
Also, I am planning to travel to India, and am worried that we can email them to submit passport in India, but I am so pissed with CIC that I am not sure if...
Thanks JD and Upkar Singh.
Are you Ontario PNP applicants?
I am Ontario PNP applicant. My application received Feb 13; medicals done and RPRF paid on April 10. Still ecas shows 'application received', thats it! No progress.
I am O-PNP applicant. Had got a QA call from Ontario office. Just basic questions.
Application received: Feb 13; Medicals and RPRF paid = April 10.
Status = application received.
No change since!
Classically Mild:
Thanks for sending the link. I am doing it right now. It says select 'privacy act' or 'information act', which one should I select. I am working in Ontario on work permit.
Maplelove: congrats! Are you PNP or CEC applicant?
Classicaly Mild & Konan1982: I am O-PNP applicant. Application received: Feb 13, Medicals & RPRF done: April 10. Since then ecas shows status as 'application received', never IP, or anything ahead!

From previous posts it looks like, if visa office is Delhi, and we are now in Canada, we can email request to Delhi that we are now working in Canada, and please can we submit passports to Ottawa instead of Delhi?
Do you think that will work?
Thanks
