COPR today :) I can't believe it's over! Almost! There wasn't a notice to bring extra pictures--is this a sort of mandatory unsaid thing? We already submitted 4 pictures with his original application. Anyways, totally stoked, it's awesome. Again, good luck to all those still waiting!

I live in Calgary, and Calgary is like that! It's only useful when you want to go outside the city, day trips or camping or whatever--and as awful as Calgary Transit CAN be, it is still preferable to driving. But today, I forgave Calgary Transit for all their past indiscretions against me for...

I don't think you will have to! Ours expired on October 22nd and we had an almost identical time-line to yours. We received our PR on Dec. 3rd. Unless there's something specific/unusual about it--I think they're more keen to give extensions on the medicals. Best of luck! Keep thinking positive...

So... just checked eCAS... so... we have two decision mades... does that mean our CoPR is in the mail?! I am so happy. I am going to California to visit my husband for Christmas; if I can pack him up and take him home and ring in the new year with him, in Canada, we will be ecstatic. Our 5.5...

Congratulations BackCountry! That's great news to hear for you and your wife, especially with a little one on it's way! Today my husband received a request for passport copies from CPP-Ottawa; he will send them tonight or tomorrow morning. Do we have a basic timeline for when a COPR will be...

Eeeeeeeeeee! My husband got a request today (Dec. 3rd) for copies of his passport to send to CPP-Ottawa. I have no idea what this really means, but I am extremely, utterly, and wholly, and fantastically excited. Does anyone know what happens after he emails them a scanned copy of his passport...

Thanks creampop for that information--it makes sense that it really depends on the VO officer. It did say that it was sent to Ottawa, initially, but I was under the impression that most of the ones that started out in Ottawa got transferred to LA. I'll be really sad if the ones that transferred...

Is there a way to find out where your file is being processed? Do they always inform you if it was transferred from Ottawa to LA? Also, is the switch to "in process" on ECAS a necessary pre-indication before you get your PPR? Is it possible to be "Application Received" and still get the PPR? I...

Thank you computergeek and Parker to both of your responses, I'll definitely look into it and find some definitive answer. We redid our PCC for the February submission to make sure it was valid, but I didnt read anything about the medicals and the Dr didn't say anything so I didn't really think...

Computergeek, how long are the medicals technically valid for? My husband and I anticipated filing in fall of 2011, so we had our medicals done in the summer of 2011 and sent them in--but we didn't end up filing until February 2012. Is it likely they'll have them re-requested as per an expiry...

I wonder why they ask for so many re-submits? My husband I submitted all the documents required as per the original checklist for both sponsor and immigrant all together in February. I wonder how likely it is they'll ask for something like the FBI to be done again? The medicals I can understand...

Yeah! I know what you mean, but I've been looking (and obsessing) over the timelines and I realized that it's now most likely going from when your file was transferred to LA. that means if you've filed Feb 9th and your file was sent July 29, but someone else filed Mar 16 and their file was sent...

Thanks for your quick response manispreet! How come it is preferable to contact the MP's office to check for you? How does this compare if you attempted to check for yourself? Just time-wise? I feel worried about contacting the office unnecessarily, I don't know what really warrants inquiry. And...

Hi everyone, I'm glad to join this forum and see so much good news come out of the Los Angeles P.O (Congrats to you, Manispreet!) I just have a question that might have been addressed earlier, but sometimes they're hard to track. My current time line for sponsoring my husband is App Filed...
