they told me this morning it takes 5-10 working days for the visa to be issued... and the guy i met at the consulated who was there collecting his passport said it took him 1 week exactly. So if you come back and have about 2 weeks to spare it should be fine... but see what they say first...

thanks bagel... I guess that is the passport request :) I went down this morning to submit the original passport and was told the visa will be ready in 5-10 working days and they would give me a call to collect it. :D :D

B-nation, I'm not sure about that either, that's why I went down this morning. They took my original passport and the appendix B and said it would be ready from 5- 10 working days. Met another guy who was there collecting the visa and he also brought in the original passport 1 week ago. Maybe...

I went down to Sydney visa office today to submit the appendix and my original passport. They said visa should be ready within 5-10 working days... :-* :-*

if you read the email they sent me, they want us to send in the original passport right? COs I sent a photocopied set of it together with the requested documents earlier on, but they didn't say anything about photocopied passport. or am i reading the wrong thing???

I'm going to bring both down to them tomorrow, it's quicker and safer that way. I don't trust Australia Post that much after they lost my shoes... :) Rachiy, thanks for the update! hope you guys will hear good news soon!
