Friends, I am in a strange situation where I got my PR 5 years back after which I lived in Canada for 1.5 years. Now I am in US and my card is expiring next year. Just wanted to know if anyone in this group was able to get the card renewed even though they didn't stay in Canada for 2 years?

Thanks frege. I lived in Canada for 20 months. So seems like I have to be in Canada for 4 months more to apply for PR card renewal. Do you think US stay would cause any risk or does two years (out of 5 years) needs to be continuous?

Thanks Avadava for your quick response. Last question for the day. In order to complete the PR process, we do need to re-enter exit canada and re-enter. There is no option for having this done inside Canada like thru Service Canada or CBSA offices. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks qorax. It is very difficult to tell the US studios or shops to explain about the specification as they don't know how to do things other than what is written in their manual or guideline. Anyways thanks for the info.

Yes I did followed the same but some how again it got rejected. The issue is I am in US and we don't get any studios which take canadian photos with the same specification. Also once PR cards are approved will they be sent through mail or they have to be collected in person ?
