Hi All,
There is one thing that I don't understand. My status used to show my address. But now it does not, ever since the status changed from "in process" to "application received". :-(

Hi All,
To add to this discussion about new status messages and the confusion people have, my status message also changed from "In Process" to "Application Received". But they removed my mail address! I don't know why!
Old Status: "We started processing your application on April 10, 2008."...
Hi Everyone,
I applied as an FSW applicant under the Simplified Rules in April, 2008, to the Visa Office in Singapore. At that time, I was unmarried. Currently, my application is in Sydney, NS, where my eligibility is being assessed. I got married in December, 2008. Suppose my applicant passes...

Wow wow wow! Rupeshhari, you've really opened my eyes! Until today I would have thought that any skilled professional who claims points for multiple years (max 21) must show that for all those years his/her professions match NOC numbers that are in the list of 38 professions! But, I've just...
Hi,
Are you talking about those who applied directly to Sydney, Nova Scotia?
I applied after Feb 28, 2008 to the Visa Office that processes applications sent by people of my nationality. I use the following link to check my status.

Hmm... Is it not better to seek an agency which is Canadian, which has offices only in Canada, and which operates all around the world by means of modern communication such as mail, fax, phones, etc?
A foreign worker is a foreign worker. Are those who are legally in Canada as students, workers, exempt from charges made by recruiting agencies? May those who are outside Canada and trying to come to Canada as foreign workers be legally charged by recruiting agencies? That's strange! I haven't...
Sadly, even if an agency may be a licensed organization, their quality of services may be poor and attitude toward foreign workers hurtful. The following is a link to a lot of agencies in Canada who may or may not be licensed. (Please refer to BCGuy's suggestions as to how to verify whether an...
Hi,
Are you sure you are setting Identification Type to "Immigration File Number"? The default value there is "Identification Type". Please set it to "Immigration File Number" if your number indeed starts with a B.

Re: Anybody has any questions for Immigration Minister Jason Kenney? Now you can
CIC does talk slightly about possible humanitarian and compassionate (H&C) considerations for "some" applicants who fall in the period Feb 27, 2008-Nov 28, 2008. How discretionary can the immigration officers be in...
Anurag,
You speak clearly and I think you are a good communicator. No wonder why you successfully got a job. Good luck on your Canadian adventure which you are about to begin.

Hi BobbyB,
I am glad that we think almost in a similar fashion. Here is the link.

Hello Everyone,
I would like to draw your attention to something valuable said by attorney David Cohen in the December-2008 article on his blog website. My questions follow his writing quoted below.
"Stating that there are 38 qualifying occupations doesn't really tell us that much. An...
Thanks Leon.
As per my understanding, LMO is for jobs that fall under semi-skilled or unskilled categories. For such jobs, the LMO link you sent specifically talks about requirements being at most a high school diploma or a maximum of two years of job-specific training (National Occupational...
