    Evening all, what is the usual turn around for passport returns for people already in Canada? Are we looking at 6 weeks or can they get them out faster? Having said that we are already nearly 4 weeks in, can't be much longer.

    Quick update, less than 24 hours after emailing London they have got back to me saying the passports are with them and are having the visa's attached. Lesson to be learnt I think about using Canada post in future, their web site still has no update on the package!!!

    Thanks for the quick responce guys, just emailed CIC London and got back there generic "we will get back to you in 28 days if its kinda important" email, hopefully this is a lesson learnt about Canada Post and their inability to do what they say and not a couple of costly visits to Toronto to...

    So I get my PPR throught and send my Passorts back registered post from Canada to London UK on the 8th of November (am on holiday), as it stands they have left Canada and have not landed anywhere according to online tracking system. Canada Post wont start looking for them for another 2 weeks...

    Hi They came throught a week ago on the 27th. I expected at least another two months of hanging around, but I put it down to the preperation on the file, we crossed every T and dotted every I. Hang in there. Shaun

    We got our 1st stage approval via my wife's email on the 6th of September (or somewhere around that date), yet to recieve any letter, altought we were advised one had been sent, PPR via my email, yet to recieve any snail mail notification either. Emails seem to be working for us up to now.

    Amber that is so unprofessional of them, its amazing that they would sit on your application for so long. That is one of the reasons that we did not use lawyers, they have no personal investment and when things go wrong, its your fault. I suppose they were still happy to take your cheque though...

    Yeah, I have had my full bike licence for 11 years, so at what piont would this will be taken into account?

    I have a full UK Car and Unrestricted Motorbike licence, I have been informed that I can swop my drivers licence but will have to take my Bike test again, as the bike licence is not transferable. Is this right?
