Update: Passport sent - October 27 Eligibility and Background Check - Completed: November 1 Final Decision - Approved: November 1 I will do a final post once we receive copr in the mail, with the updated timeline. But so far, start to finish (from May 8 until Nov 1), 5 Months 3 weeks and 3 days. :)

As an update, got Passport Request on October 23. CoPR is showing in Tracker as well. Tracker also updated to everything complete on October 23

I just got home and checked. Yep, it was just a typed name. A lot of the "Signature" part, especially with the digital application, is mostly just typed. So don't worry about putting your actual fancy signatures.

My wife and I did it digitally. It was earlier this year in May. So it's fine. If I remember correctly it was just typing the name.

Honestly as long as you have all of the information, along with proof (Photos), you can create a Letter of Explanation to attach to the proof section and explain the situation. The application process takes into account different culture related things.
