Can somoene please help that for eVisa (1-5 yrs), what are the documents needed to be submitted. I dont have any reason to travel urgent, but I have aging parents there, and OCI takes 3 months to be processed. So I would need to have an eVisa handy. But can I get it without any Ticket ?

Again PNP only draw today with less than 700 invitations. I dont understand at this rate how they’re going to meet their target of taking 425K immigrants this year ?

I have travel to India on 3rd week of July and I am expecting to have the Surrender Certificate by April beginning. If I apply for OCI in April mid, does it give enough time to obtain the OCI by July mid ? Need all of your expert opinion on the timelines etc.

You’d need at least Citizenship Certificate to come back to Canada with a CounterFoil Visa or something like that they call it. It’s a single entry visa Canada would stamp on your Indian passport if you can give enough proof that you’re a Canadian Citizen. For that you’d need the Cert at least.

Update - Passports were mailed out yesterday. Delivery status went to ‘Delay in delivery due to extreme weather condition’ although today’s weather in Ajax is really good. :D Anyways, I’d say Passport Canada did GREAT! Passports mailed out in 7 business days !

Can anyone help with a small question. Do they keep your citizenship certificate for processing or they return it to you after verifying during the appointment/in person application. Also, if they take it, can I also pick it up during my passport pick up ? Or they’d mail it anyway.

Oath on Jan 28. Citizenship Certs are mailed out on 30th Jan. Tracker completed on Jan 31. 1 certificate received (for minor) out of 3 on 2nd Feb. Still waiting for remaining 2 certificates.
