2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I applied Nov 2023. It seems that Oct 2023 applications are receiving the pre-arrival and eligibility now, so I am hoping I will get it in Jan/Feb 2025. The most important is to get P1/P2 email, that means everything is passed. Good luck everyone and Happy New Year!

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Yes, it seems that your case hasn't been assessed in the first stage yet. Your time is longer than other people and it's not normal. Call IRCC and ask them. From what we saw here, people usually got it less than 6 months. Ask them so that they can search your case, otherwise, those cases may...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

If you have received an email with a G number then it's an AOR already. Did they ask for biometrics, police certificate or other info from you? I received the AOR in Feb 2024 and the next day received the Biometrics request, and I did it at the beginning of March 2024 and that's all. So it's...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I saw here that some PR applications submitted in Aug-Sept 2023 have started receiving PAL and eligibility approval. I submitted in Nov 2023, hopefully, I will receive the eligibility and PAL in a couple of months. I received my GCMS notes, info sharing was done but not assessed yet, medical...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I am applying from Quebec and I submitted my PR application on Nov 2023. I just called MIFI and asked if they will do the "second" approval from IRCC if we already have our CSQ, the officer checked again with me and know that on my file I am applying for PR, but she said our PR is all with IRCC...

Some settlement agencies are not very clear about that themselves. You actually need to renew your SIN once you get your work permit extension.

Work Permit extension for protected person

I think it's better to call IRCC hotline and ask about it. If the lawyer is going through the online application, it will be the same as you do.

I just went through the same steps again, same thing: no medical required and no fee.

Work Permit extension for protected person

I am not sure about your situation.... 1. Are you a refugee claimant and submitted your refugee claim to IRCC already? If so, you should have received a letter from IRCC asking you to do the medical exam? 2. If you have never done a medical exam, then you will not be able to apply for a work...

Work Permit extension for protected person

When we apply for the work permit extension for both refugee claimants and accepted refugees: 1. We go to the GCKey Portal 2. Go to the bottom page > Start an application > and click on "Apply to come to Canada" 3. In my case, no personal reference code, click on "visitor, study or work permit"...

If no additional documents are needed and all background check i.e. info sharing, security, and criminality...is done, the next email should be Pre-arrival letter and eligibility approved, and then ECOPR, and portal 1 and portal 2 emails to confirm your final details and application for PR card.

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Before the eligibility interview with IRCC, we did the medical already. Did you use that medical record for PR application? If there's any problem, they should have raised concerns that time. I am unable to use the CAS tool, so I don't see the progress of my application. But from the secured...

Congratulations! It seems pretty fast! Does your GcKey show Final Decision and Date info? Did the background check say "completed'? And what does it say for eligibility? Did you give your biometrics and medical passed when you received your AOR?

Reading the input of all the people here, I found that for BG check, some will have a message saying "Your background check is in progress" some have "we are processing your background check" --- does anyone know the difference?
