Did they allow walk ins ? And what did you tell the guard/BLS differently this time since you mentioned that they sent you back the first time? Did they ask you for identity proof ?

Got as update today for for the first time since sending my application. What a relief. Under process

I submitted my application on the 17th of October and I'm yet to receive any update. I swear the surrey office is the worst. @nivek : did you check you status under the passport dropdown option for your SC status ?

Nope. BLS Surrey has been terrible in terms of call centre service and accessibility. Just got to play the waiting game with them. Having said that, somebody else on here had their tracker updated after a month. So, going by that, we may be all looking at the same timelines maybe more.

I remember looking this up because one FAQ answer mentioned something about the grace period starting from 3 months of the acquisition of the foreign passport and then there was another source that said, its the day the oath is taken and not when you receive the passport. But like I said...

you're well past the grace period. I recall there was info on the CGI webpage or indian governments webpage that says the your citizenship status starts counting down from the day you give your oath and not from the day you receive your passport. Look it up to confirm or somebody else on here...

Same here. Applied on the 17th for a tourist and surrender. Received by them on the 18th October but no update for the last 16 days as well. Calls to the call centre have been of no use. No way to contact them in the Surrey office either. Not sure If i'll get my visa in time for travel in...

Many times. The guys at the call centre are useless. They are stationed in India. Have no idea where my application is or if its even been opened.
