Oath ceremony August 18th here! We got the citizenship certificate in the mailbox today! The enveloppe is timestamped Sept 22nd and Received today Sept 26th!

Canada Post does not work on weekends... And remember that September 19th was a National day of mourning in Canada meaning Canada Post was closed as well. So I would say yes, it's normal. Most businesses assumed the postal delay is about 10 business days. You can check this page from Canada...

August 18th, Montreal... and still no certificate

Looks like any office, other than the Montreal office, is able to send the certificate within days. But we've been waiting over a month for ours! Congratulations fellow Canadian!

Indeed. If you look at the 2019, 2020 processing times... it went up during the pandemic but it is going down constantly. It's really sad for those people who have been waiting 2+ years when some applicants from 2022 already have done their oath!

For those wondering, or worrying, about AOR processing times, you have no idea how lucky you are. The 2022 applicants are getting AOR way faster than previous years. Ours tooks over 2.5 months from August to Novembre 2021. You should explore the google sheet for 2022 found here...

Yes really! Not everyone has an 'edit' access to the google spreadsheet. I know I don't. Someone can request an 'edit' access. But an @admin will need to accept the request. And personally, I don't want to bungle the data already in the spreadsheet. So I never requested that type of access to...

Give your detail and tag @admin, someone will then update the google sheet for you

Don't know if you check the google sheet for 2022 appliquants, the admin added new columns for fingerprints request, background check, etc. That can give people more insight into the delays between every stage of the application in general. The only thing missing really is the date we receive...

Unless calling IRCC, there is no way to know when the certificate is sent in the mail. It is however AFTER the application is closed. People who reached the call center got the same reply '4 to 8 weeks' as is written on their webpage as well as the pdf sent with the oath invitation.

I don't think it's weird. 1-The Queen's funeral is on September 19th. 2-The Prime Minister declared the 19th a National day of Mourning in Canada. So all federal employees won't work on that day. I am sure that's why the invitation for September 19th have been delayed and they are rescheduling...

Was on the same August 18th oath ceremony. Nothing received yet. We keep checking the 'physical' mailbox everyday. Let's hope next week? Quite something to see people receiving their certificate within a few days of the oath ceremony. And ours was 3 weeks ago and nothing yet.

Well that is weird. I would have thought using a VPN might have caused problems to some sites. But Rogers? No matter now. What's important is that you were able to proceed. You have quite a journey ahead of you. Wish you the best.
