I m beginning to lose hope. 9 months since test and 8 since DM. I cant help but feel that they r going to lose my application forever. Talked to MP, emailed the office n the minister multiple times n always recieved the same response tht it is in queue for oath. :( Is there any advice for me?

7 months. Same office.

Ghost update is when your file is updated but you see no changes on ur tracker. In my case, the tracker showed last updated on July 29th for last 7 months (when everything except oath ceremony was completed). On February 25th tht date changed but the tracker remained the same. Hope it makes sense

I hv contacted them through email and webforms multiple times. Useless.

Me. From Mississauga office. Test passed in June. DM in on July 29th. Had a ghost update on Feb 22. Nothing after that. Whats ur local visa office?

I hv reached out to everyone I could. MP, Minister, Deputy Minister, CIC agent, but these guys have an excuse for everything. They'll blatantly apologize to u but do nothing about it.

Mississauga office. Emailed them directly, got a Standard reply. Contacted through MP back in January, completely useless.

My 2 cents, book a refundable ticket, get an in-person appointment and get done with ur passport.

Distracting urself is the best way to go for sure but some days are harder than others. :) My background check was expiring on Feb 23rd but i got a ghost update on February 25th. I believe they renewed it. Anyways, good luck with getting a passport :)
