Its not mandatory to link it just informs you when your card has been mailed. As to why its not allowing you to link im not sure

They are produced in sydney, Nova Scotia which is way east. The calgary team is the one that is approving most of them then they are sent to the production team which is in sydney

Yes that doesnt change until a few days after if you have linked ur application to gckey that would have changed

Its okay it takes a couple of weeks after ur copr to get the card
