I also woke up to DM! I think I'll land as soon as I open my mailbox and find a COPR in the next few weeks! (I live in Vancouver and own a car, so it's not hard to get to a POE)

If it puts your mind at ease even a little, I'm in the exact same boat-- I'm a May applicant, I believe we went IP the same day, I got the Oct 23 batch email, and I have heard absolutely nothing since. I'm haven't before, but I'm beginning to get really anxious and frustrated with the whole...

:( I had delayed getting GCMS notes about a month ago thinking I'd be through the process before they arrived, but I'm feeling far less optimistic these days. I put in a request two days ago to see what's up.

Between completion of studies and PGWP

I think you misunderstood what I wrote-- I am not worried about my study permit expiring. A bridging permit is not necessary. My current permit is valid until January 31. My permit WILL be valid by the time I apply for PGWP. I am just asking when exactly I'm no longer "enrolled." I can't get...

Honestly at this point I'm just amazed that in this age of information, where they are certainly aware resources like this exist, they have the gall to claim that "Applications are processed in the order in which they arrive." That is some bold-faced BS when people from February are still...

I foolishly thought I might also be in the DM pool today, too, as a fellow US May applicant, but it is not the case :/ On the brighter side, I noticed today that the spelling of my middle name has been corrected today (as near as yesterday, it was incorrect). Surely this means somebody is...

Hey all, I applied for spousal permanent residency in May (outland) which is still in process, however I have been in Canada as a graduate student for the past year and a half. My current study permit indicates that I may work 20 hours per week while enrolled at my university, which I have been...

    Syrian coming to Canada

Though it is worth noting, if they are arriving December 1st, then their processing has surely already began?

Just want to join the chorus of folks here who received the batch email this morning. We actually do have a change in that we were married last weekend, so will wait to respond until our marriage certificate has arrived (probably in 2 weeks from now). Otherwise, we'll be following the same path...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Thanks for the response-- I am well aware that the statement of marriage is not a legal document (hence why I said I will "obviously" send when it arrives). My application was sent in May, through the common law track. We sent our application in May, and as stated are IN PROCESS. Obviously I...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hey guys, I tried to post this in the Ottawa thread, but to no avail-- Maybe you can help me out with this! My sponsor and I (we've lived together about 2 years as a common law couple) got married on Saturday (it was a planned ceremony attended by our friends and family from across the US and...

Went IP this morning! Well, according to eCAS, they started July 15. Any idea why it seems to take them so long to update eCAS to IP? Do they do it after clearing a few hurdles, say? Just curious why it wouldn't start to show IP, you know, when they supposedly started processing it.

I have also gone in process! "We started processing XXXXXXXXXXXXX's application on July 14, 2015." Hoping this is a positive sign.

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

Just as an update, I'm still sitting at "application received," with my application in Ottawa, just the two lines confirming receipt and medicals. 113 days and counting. The wait continues. ::)

    Marriage during common-law application

Hi all, Our application for sponsorship was received by CIC on May 7th. We met the requirements for common-law partnership, and applied as such at the time. Thus far, we have received SA, and as I am a US citizen, our application was forwarded to Ottawa. ECAS still has "application received" as...

We just received confirmation of Sponsor Approval, and it is indicated that my file will be joining everyone's in CPC Ottawa! I'm a US citizen who has been in Canada for two years as a worker and student. We applied common law, and obviously are hoping for a speedy resolution to our...

    MAY 2015 Spouse Application OUTLAND

Alright, finally got the SA email, and we have officially been approved! Now my paperwork goes onward to Ottawa... So, ECAS changed two days after correspondence was allegedly sent, and the email was received 6 days from that date.
