Probably. Hard to say though, I guess. It shouldn't be a problem for them to track this down. They have a copy of your PR/Passport. It should be easy for them to ID this from your records. Grey area, I think. Wouldn't say its an outright error. Totally depends on the officer.

Called them, and they said there was no movement on the certified cheque. That being said, my partners card got charge on Jan 16. We were in the same batch, and I can't think that CIC would be in a hurry to cash it right away. For them a certified cheque is probably as good as cash. Thoughts?

no. As Xenon indicated, your UCI number is supposed to be entered in form 1334. not in the Generic Application form.

Ugh! I can see how us bunch re annoying but CIC agents' stance is so rigid. Black and white when it suits the, grey when it suits THEM. Sorry man. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Xenon, Did you input the UCI number? if so, did you put in your UCI #? The UCI info appears in the Generic Application form, which is filled out by the Primary Applicant (i.e. your parents). Am I missing something here?

Sorry but this happened with the announcement for applications being open in November too. I saw it the first day it went up on their site, but could not find it through Google. It's surprising that the cap got filled so early, but its true.
