I've seen cases where persons get PPR without their BG changing for a second time.

I can't say if my BG changed since Feb. 28 tbh. I haven't checked my account for a few days. And given the fact that they don't send an email when they update your BG, I just wouldn't know where I'm at (whether still at first IP or second IP) :-[

Did you get any email notifications when your background check status changed?

Maybe that because for PNP-CEC, they still have to go the extra route to confirm the applicant's nomination. And since they are dealing with another busy agency, it might take a while for them to get the confirmation. Just a guess.

For most CEC applicants, their background check goes IP (in progress) after a month after AOR, some longer.

Timeline varies for each applicant. But they normally send RPRF request when your BG is IP.

It just means they started doing your background check.

We have to have a certain amount of posts in order to update our signature line. I'm trying to be more active to get up to that amount haha

Because you obtained a nomination from the province, more than likely CIC would invite you under the PNP stream. Whether you prefer CEC or not. Even if you should create a new profile, you would still have to state that you secured a nomination, which CIC would still end up inviting you under...

How long before you get an email notifying you that your CIC account has been updated? Trying to find out if there is a delay or you get an email right away when there is a changed.
