Leaving Canada during the inland process

I would not take the gamble. I was actually once refused entry even though I am from a visa exempt country. The risk is entirely up to you! Just be aware that IF they don't let you back in your inland application is forfeited. I highly recommed you do not do it! Sure you could get lucky...but...

CEC - can I apply why wp is being renewed?

Hi Leon, do the two years have to be on one consecutive work permit. I had three in the past, Young Workers Exchange, Work and Holiday and now a two year work permit which expires in June 2010. I have had alltogether two employers and always worked in my profession. Would they accept that?

Hi, Does anyone know how it affects a common-law sponsorship application when you get married during processing? Is it smarter to wait until after receiving PR? Thanks Julie

    Visa office Berlin

Hey Colsy, thanks for your post. You say Trackitt etc...what other websites are out there to track timelines?

    Visa office Berlin

Really? How come? If you look at the CIC site and the posted timelines all other European offices are faster - minus one I believe (can't remember the name).

    Berlin timeline question

@Dutchman, how long did it end up taking in your case? Anyone else that can tell about their experience in dealing with Berlin? Much appreciated.

    Visa office Berlin

Thank you Emmy. Timelines on Trackitt look far less scary then the ones on the CIC website. They probably put some time on top there so people don't start calling them too early.

how long for response from Berlin?

Thanks Leon, I was just wondering if this information is realistic as it was said before that Berlin just doubles everything up to keep people from bugging them. I guess I am just disappointed because my file was requested to go to Buffalo but instead was sent to Berlin, which is quite the...

Hey guys, Mine just got sent to Berlin as well. It was supposed to go to Buffalo. I wonder what happened and if there is a chance to request a file transfer as the timelines are very different. For Berlin it recently says 7-16 months. Has anyone recently gotten approved? I would like to know...

    Changing status

Mehrdado, sorry to hear this and I have to agree with the others. However this brought a question up of my own. I am currently being sponsored under common-law. If everything goes well we should be receiving the PR around November. We are getting married in Mexico early January 2010 and were...

    Dual Intent

Boncuk, thanks for posting this link. However I assume it does not apply in my situation as I already have a work visa?? While working and living here I met my fiance, so it should not be a problem when I enter Canada holding a work visa and having applied for PR.

    Dual Intent

Well we live together in Canada so I am not really visiting him. My current visa is valid until June 2010; I am just going to see my grandparents in Germany for two weeks as they are getting quite old. So I was just wondering how to respond if they question me when I come back at the end of May...
