If you are going for 6-7months then you can apply for Permanent Resident Travel Document once you land your home country. This will enable to re-enter Canada without your PR card.

Hi, Where did you apply it from? Because I heard that it can be applied from another country and when you are not physically present in canada.

I called IRCC today, the representative was very helpful. I told him that I have my tickets booked for next month as I need to visit my mother husband and he had put a note on the file yesterday. Today I got a ghot update. I hope they mail the card soon so that I can travel next month. Fingers...
