I think I've developed a twitch with this blasted waiting for our passports, or even some word that they are coming. Or not coming. Or that sea otters ate them. ANYTHING. Even my eternally patient husband is getting pissy at them (not the sea otters, LA of course)!

I emailed them on the 1st and asked, no response. So I tried the case specific enquiry today. I am hoping they've extended the medicals, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to get a response back saying I need to redo them now. I hate this whole process.

Sent a case specific enquiry to LA. Medicals expire tomorrow, UPS tracking still not active 4 weeks after they got the passports. Why is it taking them so long? I had a complicated application and they managed to approve it with lightning speed, but then it comes time to finish it and they drag...

This next Tuesday will be 4 weeks since LA received our passports, and on Wednesday our medicals expire. Why is it taking LA so long to return our passports? ARGH.

I changed my address twice and it didn't delay it. As soon as I had the application file #, I emailed Buffalo. And then LA with my Canadian address.

They do typically use email, sometimes snail mail. But it's easy to update your mailing address once it's received in Buffalo, so don't worry about it.

For Buffalo, it's just the bio-data page. When you get PPR, you will likely have to send a copy of every page (blank ones too) to the VO (in place of the passport).

Unless either of you have a client ID from another application in the past, just leave it blank or write N/A in it's place. They know new applicants won't have an ID #, don't worry about it.

I think that was one of the places recommended to us for them. There were a couple others but I don't remember names :)

Pretty much what the title says... Seems like LA would have sent our passports by now but the return tracking on the UPS envelope I included hasn't been activated yet. I'm wondering if maybe they shipped them snail mail for some reason.

Congrats Cycyna! You can call the local immigration office and set up a landing interview, but I've heard it can take months (also heard a few people get one in a week, probably depends on how busy each local office is). We're a long ways from the border too (with 4 kids it takes over a full...
