I am sailing in the same boat. I have sent an email to CIC to arrange for printing visa in new delhi on 27th Oct. Waiting for their reply. I saw one guy in December thread who got reply today. I think he sent email on 21st Oct.

Yeah, just request them to arrange for visa printing for your spouse in your home country. I have seen quite a few such cases in this forum only. Just send CIC an email. And send your passport for visa printing in Canada with a letter of explanation or something explaining your situation.

Pefectly legal option is to send an email to CIC to arrange for their visas to be printed in Bangladesh only. You can always choose for the other option but your friend would need letter of consent and purpose with their passports. And once printing is done they can't land until the principal...

Even I sent an email on 27 Oct expressing the inability to send Passport out of India because of Indian Laws and requested CIC to arrange for printing in India. I am waiting for their reply..

13 months is the duration within which 80% of the applicants get to hear the final verdict from CIC. It can even take more time for others. I have seen few in this forum who have crossed that timeline and have been waiting for around 2 years. So lets hope for good.. you should be getting things...

What I remember is Raaga did submit passport to CHC new delhi without getting reply initially from CIC Ottawa but he did get reply from CIC Ottawa eventually and he got his passport stamped back only after that reply. So nobody knows whether he got his passport stamped on it's own by CHC New...
