yes, browning911, i've ordered GCMS on Jan 31 2017 and i got it on March 2nd 2027, but it was nothing changed since November 2016.

Mak31086, i m the Jan 2016 applicant too and got the same status as you have now, but they didnt ask for new medical check yet, it was submitted up front too, did you get SA and AIP recently ?

Hi 2016 applicants - heads up We are the Jan 2016 applicant: We got a SA on Mar 10 2017 after 6pm. and AIP on Mar 13.(just got it tonight forwarded from my rep) they are really processing the Jan 2016 applicants now. we are so happy and we will apply for OHIP on Thursday. good luck everyone...

Thanks Zumbag , but the situation doesn't look good, the CBSA can remove the applicant out of the country.☹️

By the time i applied, the permit was expired 6-7 months , in other word it was Out-of-status or Lack-of-status, that is why it takes more than 7 months and no OWP or SA , AIP etc It stalled on Status, probably the CIC will get CBSA involded with this matters.

Yes, i did send both at the sametime, but the only thing to worry is the work permit was expired 6-7 months.
