Seems lk it gets updated by the eve as u said.. OCI status was same in the noon & changed when I checked now at 5:30pm..

Hello When i applied for minor oci applications in person at Brampton BLS, they took only Birth certificates as original document returning the passports. Not sure if this helps you or not.
