yeah, I think they match the COPR expiry with the medical expiry date. Seeing COPR info does not mean that they issued eCOPR though. I can see that number for a month, but no eCOPR has been issued yet.

Good news. Hopefully, they will process everything and send eCOPRs soon for everyone. It has been a month since I submitted my info and photo for finalization, but it has been total silence since then. I hope that they will process and finalize all May applicants in one batch.

I believe it is possible to apply for a PR travel document if you are travelling outside Canada without the PR card. But, I am not sure how it works out. I know that PR card is needed to come back to Canada, but there might be some exceptions

They haven't updated the status on the tracker but send P1 and P2 once the background check is done. Never thought it would take months for these things, but one of the threads say there is a huge backlog. My assumption is that they just slowed things down intentionally to be align with their...

May 2024 - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

I got my P1 and P2 three weeks ago and I replied to them promptly, but I still wait for them to issue my eCOPR. I know that the official processing time was 12 months (Now, it says 24 months!), but I don't really understand why it takes so long to issue once all stages are officially done. Some...

There is no need to specify financial documents or prove your relationship for open work permit if you already applied for inland spousal PR and got your acknowledgement of receipt (as far as I know). You already did tjay for the pr application. You just need to include the email and specify the...

Did you get your eCOPR through email or PR Portal?

They probably process things in batches so they might soon send P2 to you. I don't think everyone in that range got their P1s yet. Also, they don't always update all details along the process. I got my P1 and P2 but my tracker still says it is in process. Some people even get their PR cards...

I see more people getting P1 and P2 emails these days (submission dates: May 1-10), but I haven't seen anyone getting their eCOPR (past the submission date of May 5). It has been a week for me so far. I assume that they will be approved in batches.

    Photo cropping for the portal

I didn't crop it in case it changes its quality. But, it says an office can do it so i hope that will be possible. It says the following: "Use the blue rectangle crop box to center and fit your head between the two circular green lines and ensure your chin touches the bottom of the circle. If...

It looks like this includes refugees as well (according to these two reports). Is there any data indicating that they will increase the number of refugees? The only possibility is that more refugees might/will prefer Canada over the US for obvious reasons. It is true that the system is non-ideal...

They will only increase some streams for economic immigration (the ones that align with federal economic priorities), but they reduce everything else https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/supplementary-immigration-levels-2025-2027.html This means that they will...

They probably process things on a timely manner. That is why they ask for it. I don't think it results in anything serious, but it might cause delays. In the P1 message it says "Please provide the information below within 7 calendar days to ensure there are no undue delays."

    Photo cropping for the portal

I was directed to use the PR Portal to submit my photo and confirm my address. It asks for cropping the photo to make the face look bigger, but it says that the officer can do it on behalf of me if I am not sure about how to use it. I was worried that cropping my change the photo in a way that...

Submitted on May 6. On the tracker, everything was completed about a week ago. P1 and P2 were received in the last two days. Hopefully, eCOPR will be issued soon. Looks like they are gradually processing May applications now
