Applied for my Mother's Super Visa on 22nd of Feb. Medicals done on 29 Feb. Passport with visa recd on 14 March. Mom got a nine year validity based on her passport validity. (India) Wish all the others awaiting their parents' approval all the very best....

Hi all, For some parents visiting Canada who are on pension and have to sign their LIFE CERTIFICATE every Nov in India.....how do they go about doing the same while in Canada? Could someone whose parent/s have gone through the above process please let me know..... Thanks in advance......

If the passport expires it will not pose any problem...valid visa's in expired passports are still valid. You would just need to apply for a new passport and always keep/show both the expired (with the valid visa stamp) and new passport together.

This is indeed very sad and frustrating. Apparently Super visa was introduced to re-unite families!!! Like the others I think you should re-submit/re-appeal the same.

Hey Jason111.....am sure there are some insurance companies who will refund the balance of the months provided no claims have been made, you will have to talk to insurance companies about this....this is as per my understanding. If one's parents/g'parents wish to visit Canada only for a month...

Hmmmm, not sure what the procedure is...they might want to finish off with the meds first before going through the appl and the supporting docs.....

Docs you can check on the CIC website. You will get all the info there for your other Q's as well.....still.....Yes, you have to buy insurance before applying for the super visa...and it should be valid for one year. All the best......
