    it has to be current active employment because CBSA is so strict that in other cases they call the employer to find out if the job is still active.

    hi you have to contact CBSA hotline and state your case that you have a current job in Canada and you have letters to prove it then maybe your case will be better compared to mine.

    You will have to call CBSA about it because they will deny or approve on a case by case basis. Explain your case to them. When my husband called CBSA they said even with a letter I need a confirmed job.
