Usually, pre arrival letter is sent if background checking also started. I think if the immigration officer who handles your application is quite strict with proof of relationship documents, then they might ask further documents or might need an interview. Especially when you’re newly wed or not...

As long as di pa lampas sa 12months na timeframe nila ang application wala silang ibang isasagot kundi in process application mo. I guess, we can do nothing but to continue to patiently wait for their update. Hay sana talaga may balita na very soon.

I just checked my gckey now and it says “We are processing you background check.” That means my BGC has started right? I just want to make sure because upon reading others’ updates they received Pre-Arrival first before BGC. Thanks

Congrats for your Pre-Arrival. We have almost the same timeline only that I am still waiting to receive pre-arrival invitation. My application is forwarded to MVO on July 6. High hopes here to get an update this month.

Hi @acmlaz0217 We are likely in the same time frame. Our application was received by CIC on May 15 and did the medical exams on June 27, it was forwarded to MVO on July 6. Still waiting for updates until now.
