are you able to link your application to GC key?

If you were successful in linking your profile it means they have started processing. I am in same boat but its so exhausting and annoying to wait for a year now without any update.

I see they ask applicants within a year for medical. in my case nothing yet so worried now

I applied on 5th Aug 2021. process started in February no major improvement yet it shows background check for 6 months now

I am in the same boat... applied for PR and renewal of workpermit... work permit is expired...

what I advice you is to create GC Key on IRCC account and then you will find an option for linking your online application try to link it without using X just G and the 9 digits

I didnt receive any new application number I just received email that my status has been updated on the website where as it still shows submitted but I am now able to link my application to IRCC secure account. You have to wait till you receive any other email from IRCC and then you can link...

same here I submitted online PR application on 5th august and received same email an hour ago but the PR application is still 'submitted'
