I'm doing the same, saw some people that did it when the medical request came through and their process was "expedited". Also, there is no harm in doing it.

Is there any advantage in supplying the PCC before it is requested? I got medical requests and the only thing they have not requested yet is the PCC.

Finally got medical exams requested for my parents. It is weird how long it takes between processes. I'm assuming that the process now should be concluded soon, since the exams are valid for a year only, I'm guessing I should see the end of it before then. Does anyone know if this logic has any...

It doesnt matter where they do the medical exams, just make sure you have it booked in the timeframe they provided you in the letter you received and, if not possible, you inform the reason why and when is the date you have for their exams. Hope this info helps.
