Did you have to do remedicals before your PPR? I read somewhere that there were delays in passport processing when the medicals were close to expiring.

Your PR process isn't done yet?? Has your dependant not received their passport back after stamping? Also isn't the stamping the last step?? The dependant can travel once they get the copr if the PA has his eCOPR right?

Another thing they asked for the mandamus was if we had some temporary remedy. We showed that my visiting visa was rejected twice and the SOWP application had been processing since June with no progress from their side whatsoever.

The law firm we went to was Battista Smith Migration Law Group. There are few others out there too. Our lawyer was very sweet and understanding of our situation. We got everything done in under a month's time. Portal email, eCOPR, PPR etc came within days of the approval email. 15 months...

Our lawyer wrote the demand letter and gave them 2 weeks to get back to us. We didn't get a response to that but they issued us the approval a week before we took the case to judicial court.

Have you considered filing a mandamus application? You'll have to get it done through a lawyer who specialises in it and it's not cheap but it'll get the job done because you've been waiting for over a year as of now.
