Congratulations to her. Did you receive a request to book appointment for landing interview? If No, then you don't need to worry about it. I believe it's a pilot project for CEC inland candidated and not everyone is being requested. Seniors can guide more on this.

CIC is going crazy, seems to be the workload :) BTW, you seem to be close to get the PPR soon, congrats!

Not many days. CIC requests your passport only after PR application is approved and you should get it back within couple of weeks time..Good Luck!

Thanks for the response guys. So basically, being a CEC inland doesn't help much in terms of BGC.

Does anyone know if BGC is also done when we apply for a work permit? If yes, should that make the processing faster when same applicant applies for PR as they already have the BGC reports?

If they need a PCC for Canada, they will request for RCMP certified criminal record.

Completely agree. It's no where written on CIC website that BG is done in IP2 only. :) And no one knows if the case officer is updating the case in real time.

His BGC is in progress. Also, when we create EE profile, we enter dates of employment and system calculates the duration itself and ads the points. As you also said that you created your EE profile on 23rd April and extra points were added automatically on 1st May. I am not sure how can CIC...

Well, I cited my friends example as I know his case..it’s your call to apply or wait.

If it’s a full time job then you will be eligible after completing 1 year in this job..minimum 1 year is required to be eligible.

You’re good to go. My friend also applied in 11th month and received points for 1 year work ex..they consider it valid as by the time you receive ITA and submit your profile, your 1 year will be complete. BTW, congratulations :)

I guess you need to go for the second option as the message says they need you original signature. "Ø > Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature This must be received at this office by: 2018/05/29"

If you don't have a CIC login, you may have to create one and link your application to be able to make payment. Did you submit a paper application?

I see a PPRs received on 19th April frim Ottawa office. How is it possible on a weekend?
