Not necessarily. IRCC has a way of sending out invites in batches. one can only hope that all background checks and so forth would have been completed before test invites are sent out, so if all goes well during the interview, you might not need to wait so long before getting to take the oath.

Normal? Unfortunately that term doesn't mean much. IRCC would say you are still within the 12 months window, so they would classify it as "Routine". A Lot of us are in the same boat as you. Just waiting for any sort of movement.
