It would be a relief if they just announce that there will not be any penalties, it would alleviate a lot of peoples stress/worries and concerns about this process in general.

Let us know if you hear anything back. I will do the same, from either the IRCC webform, or the CIC e-mail! Hoping we all get some news from either soon about how to proceed. I don't even mind paying to do everything again (medical or whatever else they require). I just want an answer!

I was also hoping for the answer to your second question.... that was our plan as we have not wrapped up our affairs, and I'm still on a work visa in America.... sadly I feel like it comes down to who you get at the port of entry and what kind of day they may be having...

I am a Canadian living in America with my husband who is an american citizen who received COPR.... I wrote to the CIC today through email (who granted our COPR) asking for an extension ..... And just received this back: Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada...
