Canada has what they need. 1) a system like Express entry which is robust enough to filter as per their needs 2) a bunch of people desperate to go there 3) lots a very qualified applicants 4) a pool that doesnt seem to decrease 5) many applicants with high scores and some others constantly...

I believe we should thank the current US president. That for sure made A LOT of people see Canada as a back up plan. Sadly most of them dont even intend to live there but just to have it as a 2nd option in the bag in case something happens.

For me It is a clear message that 1) will remain the same 3500 until the end of the year. 2) they are not desperate for candidates like last year 3) those of us below 438 can say bye bye to ITA in 2018.

Many people are just tired. I would say the majority. Some others are busy improving scores. People like me at 438 since Q4 last year were 100% sure ITA would easily come and yet here we are almost 1 year later and the score would not drop below 440s.

Same boat here. At 438 now and 5 points less in Oct 5th. Taking IELTS for the 4th time to max it out. The best of luck guys. Keep pushing and you will get it

This is so sad. They have learned a lot from last year. No back to back draws. Skipping draws. Ontario not issuing too many HCP invitations. Whoever got in last year very goog for them.

Ey guys, one question: I have read about re-marking IELTS stories and most of them end up in small .5 increases that eventually help the person to max out IELTS (if that is what they wanted). My question is: Most of the re-marking processes end up positively?
