it should take 5 business days to update.. I was once able to change my mailing address on the phone. It depends on the agent if he/she is willing to do it or not. But I can confirm that the agent is able to do it if they want so.

Is there a way to know if you application is selected for security screening aside from GCMS notes? Would CIC tell you on the phone if you call them or they don't have this piece of information?

You chose in the beginning "legally" separated which you are not. That's why it is asking how it ended.
