That is somewhat scary if they do not return the application fee. That means are we gambling CAD 550x2 (for couple)? I thought if we failed to make through the points they would return the application fee.

Do they send us an email if the application is rejected or we have to wait for the postal service to receive the package back.

No. You need passport it is mandatory. In my country if you pay more they will issue in a week. You might have similar provision in your country.

Another Blunder I made was that I put 550 in form 5620 in wrong box but the total is correct and my draft is for 1100 for my wife and me. Will this make any difference?
