Hi! A good bit of advice is to call at 8am or at around 3:30pm on Thursdays. A friendly lawyer I know gave me that advice, and I've never not got through on at least the second try. I've even called after 4pm on a Thursday and got through on the first try. Also, try using the code 2-2-2-4-0...

Final Update Received email confirming extension today!!

Update guys: Apparently the procedure is that once you have requested an extension, provided you do not get a response, you operate as if you have been given more time, and submit the documents as soon as you can (verified by CIC agent)

I spoke to them again later last week and again was told that I am good to travel, and this time that they don't typically give responses to the CSE, it seems like it is an Ottawa thing. As of last week my request hadn't actually been reviewed.

I have a similar problem. I got my PPR on Nov 26 and raised a CSE, as well as emailing the address specified at that time. I spoke to an agent at CIC on Monday and he said that the office in Sydney, which is processing my application, has received my request, but has not reviewed it. He seems to...

Update on this, I raised a CSE and emailed CPC Ottawa. Ottawa responded and said they are not the office that processed my file. CSE said they verified my information and have sent my request to the "responsible office." Hopefully I receive a response in time. Additionally I emailed the CIO...

What is the email address you use to contact CPC Ottawa for the extension? Is it CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca? I've read that persons who emailed the address in the PPR email didn't receive timely responses, but that emailing CPC got an extension in about 2 or so business days

O ok. I thought ghost meant it made a change without generating an email!

Since I'm fairly new, the ghost updates changed the following: 1) Reviewing additional documents to "not applicable" 2) I can't remember what the initial text was, but it now says "we are processing your background check..."etc.

Hi All, Inland request AOR June 12 MEP June 26 Additional Doc Request June 29 Ghost Updates for my additional doc review and BG check but I'm not sure of the precise dates tbh. I think the BG started mid October.
