Did u receive a letter asking you to submit original passports? or passport copies? If they asked you to submit original passports then you are going to hear a good news very soon.

I had the same scenario. I sent the file with passport copy which was about to expire and processed the new passport in the mean time. However, my DD was encashed before the expiration date and got PER mail after the expiration date. So I guess it won't be an issue in your case too. Chill. :)
