Nothing of the sort mentioned in the first paragraph. I took me 6 months to get a positive decision on my case and our passports are already submitted for PR visa. This was just a question on the top of my mind and I thought of asking.

I know someone who applied through Express Entry 1st week of Jan'15 through and got invitation to apply in 3rd week. He didn't even have a job offer. I suggest you apply instead of assuming that you don't have a chance. Apply to both countries and see who responds first.

Hi, Did anyone get their passports renewed after sending Additional Information Chart to CIC i.e. details of previous passport was shared with CIC but when a positive decision came a new passport has already been issued and received by the applicant.

Thanks. I think they are very busy in managing and streamlining the Express Entry system which is causing all the delays. I will wait till mid next week after which I will forward my passports even if I haven't received a reply.

I did follow Step 1 which was to inform them through the Additional Information Chart about my new passport details. That's all that was required but they seem to be taking too long in replying.
