I applied end of November 2018, got AOR December 29th. Same situation, CEC, closed LMIA exempt work permit. When I applied my job offer for the next year was from September 2018 to 2019. I think the ghost updates stay. Was logging in almost every hour daily and then decided not to check it for 2 to 3 days. Woke up on the third day and checked, update was there. Got a question. What's the purpose of the landing interview? Is it only a inland applicant scenario? I have work colleagues who received pr last year who got PPR as opposed to attending a landing interview. Difference I guess is I have a dependent while they didn't, not sure if that alone is...- vyper1

Medical Exam
Well I applied in Jamaica and I got the visa on Monday(picked up the stamped passport). According to this CIC page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/dcl.asp if you're in the United Arab Emirates, you don't need a medical.- vyper1
