Had a ghost update on the 23rd Jan after BGC started earlier in Jan. Called CIC that day and they told me that I'd be receiving a biometrics request letter in 'the next few days'. Haven't received anything like that yet. Is anyone else in a similar situation? I'm not in the Whatsapp group any...

Just to follow up on the message I posted this morning regarding the ghost update, I called CIC and they confirmed that the ghost update is my biometrics request letter. Should be receiving it in the mail in the next few days!

Morning guys! My background check started over a week ago and have a ghost update this morning. No messages asking for additional info/fingerprints. Anyone know what this means?

You won’t receive anything until AOR which is an email that goes to the sponsor’s email address. It usually comes between 4 - 6 weeks after the application was delivered to the office.

Linking can be a pain! You need to use the Principal Applicant’s info. Another common mistake is number of applicants. If it’s just you and your spouse make sure you select 2 instead of 1. I was making that mistake for a while! Congrats on the AOR!
