In my opinion the process will be extended to a year for the first stage of approval. Keep that in mind at the end of this year the process will take a year. It is really sad, I had a job ready for me (at the end of september) in what I know to do and I love to do and I won't be able to take it...

Today is 10 months since my wife and I sent the application for PR. They are now taking 11 months to approve my wife as sponsor!!! This is really bad, really bad... I can't believe it.

Hi Indlandappl, Congratulations!!! I think that you have to get the SIN number in the office of Service Canada, but it might be a problem.... you can not apply until you have gotten your PR card. But if you have your Open Work permit you can get a temporary SIN. Cheers Pepe
