Just from eyeballing the spreadsheet I think they are processing in batches of months. So everyone on the August spreadsheet got their med request in April. I think Sept will start getting medical requests this coming week, first week of May. That's just my guess.

if you look at the spreadsheet you can see they're working through right now. I applied Sept 9 and got AOR yesterday. You can't link the app until you get AOR cause you need the permanent application number that comes in that email. Don't stress! It's on its way!

It's AOR. It has the permanent application number (starts with F) and the sponsor's UCI. As per the email you can go to the online tool and check your application status. When I check mine it says Sponsorship App In Progress & PR App In Progress

Hey thanks for this message, I had my partner check just now and we just got the email about an hour ago. Woohoo!

Oh thanks for this update! I have been waiting on my visitor visa since October. Applied early Sept and no AOR yet. Waiting nervously as others from Sept have started getting them.

She should mark that question as "no." :)

My understanding is that I will be applying to pay my taxes in BOTH Canada and the U.S. once I have residency, but since I am an American citizen, it should not affect my employer's tax situation. I am going to double check with my work this week and will get back. We have at least one and maybe...

It's pretty normal at this point to not hear anything else. I think most people have not heard much besides the biometrics reminder email. It looks to me like they stopped doing the prospective AORs - I did not receive one and there's a definite end point of people receiving them in the...

My lawyer in NS and my coworker's lawyer in Quebec have both advised that we are fine to work remotely for an American company while in Canada as long as we are not taking the place of a Canadian. My employer is American-only so we are fine.

Yes, the OWP application is what gives you implied status. I am here on a visitor visa as well since 2018 and I just renewed mine because if your visitor status expires and something goes wrong with the OWP there is no grace period, you are automatically out of status. So it's a good idea to...

It looks to me like pretty much everyone gets it, based on the spreadsheet. You could try calling. 1-888-242-2100 then press 2 (for english), then 1-1-0 to speak to a person. I know some people that have talked to someone multiple times; personally I have never had luck getting them on the...

You are in the right place. The first post on this thread has a link to the spreadsheet we use to track our applications and you can get an idea of the timelines from there. Things are very delayed, as you can imagine. When I decided to do this, we had a (zoom) consultation with an immigration...

You have implied status until the OWP is denied/returned or accepted. You can get the visitor visa if you're nervous about it getting returned because then you'd be out of status. I am still on the fence about renewing mine, which expires on Christmas Eve. It's not required if you are inland...

I believe it's a temporary number and can't be used to link the application online.

No, do not ignore. Pay the fee online and submit the receipt through the online webform.

Why would they reject my biometrics fee receipt?

I am an applicant. Submitted PR application 9/9/20, received biometrics fee reminder shortly thereafter. I submitted my biometrics fee receipt and just got an email that I didn't provide info consistent with the information they have for me. They are not specific about it so I have no idea...

What is the "AOR with Prospective App #" column in the spreadsheet? Is this an email people are getting?

When I consulted with a lawyer at the beginning of this she told me not to apply for a visitor visa (that not reapplying was a perk of doing the inland application), but given the long timelines we're in now it may just be a couple hundred $$ for peace of mind just in case it goes awry. I have...
