We did the application back in august 2016 and they sent the email 2 weeks before interview for kids medicals. We had a problem getting passports so the medicals weren't done until 4 days before the interview and CIC received the results a week later.

The police clearance can be done at the police station and is good for a year. You have to call one of the doctors on the list for the medical.
