There is no such validity period .. your documents would be assessed even if you send them six month down with your reference number.. however for sanity sake, we should not target to send documents very late.. i would say within a month should be fine..

i dont think you have submitted your profile yet.. when you do that you would have OPEN against Application/profile status You need to go back and once all forms are filled, you need to click on continue at bottom and sign submit the forms.. once that is done your status would change to OPEN...
