Hi If your husband is a citizen of Canada, he can apply while being out of Canada but if he's a P.R. he has to be physically present to apply..so that could have been a reason...but since u sent the file on 6 may u will get an e-mail around 5-6 june if they accepted ur file on May 6, 2013..

Hello Ankur, No one receives an acknowledgement of receipt for the passport..you can only check with your courier company to see if they have delivered ur passport... CHC will not respond to ur mail for this....

I think it could make the process little bit longer.. And just to add, there's other member on the forum whose sponsor is divorced. and now they have asked for something called a divorce petition. so if u have not submitted that, get it ready or better send it right away to reduce some time in...

Then pray to God....because ur passport will have the entry and exit stamps and in case if they counter check ur passport against ur file..They could ask for an explanation and then u can say "Sorry" and tell them that it happened by mistake...and this might lengthen ur process.

Hi Aman Sidhu, The PCC should not be more than 3 months old at the date CIC receive it. U can check this on cic website as well.... And if u do not enter that country again u dont need to get a latest one even if it is more than a year....
