I don't think so...this trend is only for those who applied in second week of nov 2017 and in Dec. And, yeah it's weird how the first week of Nov applicants got their MR after a year and second week got theirs in 5 months. CIC is completely weird

2 of my friends applied on Nov 14 2017, got their PPR yesterday and their medical expiry date is 26 April 2019

Inland Applicants who applied their file in second week of Nov 2017 got their medical request in April 2018. And Dec 2017 applicants got their medical request in May 2018.

You will get PPR near your medical expiry date (Only for NOV and DEC applicants)

I am DEC 2017 Applicant...I hope Dec processing starts soon.
