I just read from the other threads, the appearance of the sponsor's address in ecas is a GOOD SIGN! :-) That means that the VO has already received our application and is working on it. And even better news? Most of them got ppr within a month or two from that happening. God is working overtime...

I checked our ecas today, and I was surprised to see my wife's (sponsor) address on top. Applicant's status is still 'Application Received' and not 'In Process'. But still nice to see something changing in ecas after 3 weeks of no activity. Is this a sign of a nice Christmas gift coming our...

Has everyone gotten their snail mail or email about the sponsorship approval already? We got our eCAS approval November 7, and it's 3 weeks later and still no snail mail or email about it. eCAS still says decision made for the sponsor, and application received for the applicant and nothing else...

I am currently in the process of being sponsored by my wife on a FAM application. We haven't gotten the sponsor DM yet,though we expect it around the middle or end of November. I am planning to spend Christmas with her, so I will be applying for a TRV. I don't think I will have any problems...

Just curious, what would happen if she just waits out the sponsor approval part, and then heads home to wait out the PR approval part? Would that be the same thing?

She is a PR... I was afraid of that answer... She has been having difficulty dealing with the relatives she has been living with, and we were thinking if it was possible for her to wait out the PR approval for myself back home in the Philippines... Oh well... :'(
