Hey can anyone guide me how to go about getting my visit visa now that i have gotten my OWP approval. Im wondering, since my status had expired on 31st march, do i apply for visitor visa extension or apply for a new visitor visa? Since my visitor visa has expired i cant extend it can i? I think...

I dont know what your basing ur info on when u say "usually". To be honest i have never heard or read anything of this sort. Implied status is to get an "authorized stay". So that you are not over staying illegally. One has the option to change the conditions of the stay and still have implied...

And just my two cents..its very very VERY rare that you will gey refused for work permit since the only eligibility requirements for owp are that you should have a valid status when u applied for owp and that u should be married to a canadian citizen or PR.

Hey..when u apply for PR and OWP at the same time and your OWP file is accepted as submitted then you have implied status. Its the OWP that gives u implied status not the AoR. If your OWP file is submitted and not returned due to any reason then u are fine. since u should be expecting Aor anyday...

For me it took 3 hours..got my review update at about 7 in the morning (i live in Vancouver) and got decision made at about 10 am..it takes them anywhere from few hours to 2-3 days...

My file was received on feb 6th I got AoR on 6th March Got pcc and ScD A form request on 7th march My work permit app on the main page of the account shows date submitted for work permit app as 8th of March. My status expired on 31st of March and i got OWP approved today ...

My work permit just got approved for two years

App received Feb 6 AoR March 6 PCC and Scd A request March 7 Work permit app submitted ( i sent it with the PR app and this is the date submitted being shown in my cic account) March 8

You are right. Im still waiting too. 4 month mark will be up in 2 days. Then we can send case specific inquiry..

And nobody has gotten anything other than the both sponsor's and PA's AoR either? Like sponsor approval or something? (No idea what this is..read it in 2017 thread)

Got my Aor on March 7 and still havent heard anything regarding the OWP. Getting a bit worried... :(

Yeah we just get the single confirmation. Using the same UCI that you used for linking PR app, u can link your work permit app too..it will appear as a second separate application in ur cic account..use one variable UCI and another maybe ur family name ? And select work permit in application...

You sent your app in March? Didn't you send the police certificate with your application? Medical exam request doesn't come in until later..like five six months after submission..
